Terms — the one-page version

We promised plain English everywhere, including here. These terms cover the £79 a month subscription and the free homepage preview. [Draft, review before launch.]

Who we are

Kent.design is a trading name of Palmer Marketing Ltd, registered in England and Wales in 2014, company number 09051345, registered office 20a Albion Road, Broadstairs, Kent CT10 2UP.

The service

We design, build and manage brochure websites on a monthly subscription of £79 per month plus VAT, with nothing to pay upfront. The subscription includes design, build, copywriting, UK hosting, an SSL certificate, daily backups, ongoing maintenance, booking-system integration, and setting up a domain and business email if you need them.

Small edits are unlimited within fair use and we aim to make them the same day. A small edit means text, image and minor layout changes. It does not mean new features, additional pages beyond the agreed site or a redesign.

Work outside the subscription

Larger builds, including e-commerce and custom platforms, are not covered by the subscription. Where you want work of that kind, we will quote for it upfront in writing before any of it starts.

The free homepage preview

The homepage preview is free and carries no obligation. No payment or card details are required to request one. Preview designs remain our property unless you become a client.

The 12-month minimum

Because there is nothing to pay upfront, the subscription has a 12-month minimum term. After that it continues month to month and you can cancel at any time, giving us 30 days' notice.

Ownership

Your domain, your content, your images and your reviews are yours, always. The website design and build remain the property of Kent.design for as long as you subscribe.

Leaving

Cancel after the minimum term and we'll hand over your domain and export your content. We'll be helpful about it — the no-hostage promise is a promise.

Payments

Monthly by Direct Debit. If payment fails and isn't resolved within 14 days, the site may be suspended until it's brought up to date.

The boring-but-necessary

[Liability, acceptable use, and governing-law clauses to be finalised before launch.]
